Volcan mountain - march 21, 2024

this was a Beautiful hike to start off the spring of 2024.  It was a relatively easy 5.3 mile round trip (about 2.5 hours of hiking) to the summit of Volcan mountain with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain.  Temperatures were in the mid-60s at the trailhead and about 10 degrees cooler and a bit brisk at the summit.  Everything was lush and green after ouR nice wet winter with enough mud on the trail to highlight mountain lion tracks (see photo below).
