Pacific crest trail, Section a segments 12, 13 & 14 - march 22-24, 2022

These were my twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth segments of california's section a of the pacific crest trail (the final three segments).  section a starts in campo, ca (on the mexican border) and traverses north for 109.5 miles to warner springs, CA.  my goal was to complete Section a in a series of 14 day hikes.  I deviated from the plan by combining the twelfth segment (scissors crossing to third gate water cache), thirteenth segment (third gate water cache to barrel spring), and fourteenth segment (Barrel spring to Warner Springs) in a three-day, two-night adventure. These three segments were 32.5 miles (one-way).  I completed these last three segments of Section A in 10 hours 24 minutes of hiking with 3,125 feet of ascent.  I completed the 109.5 miles of section A with a total of 190.6 miles of hiking (due to numerous round-trips). the daytime weather, for this three-day hike, was sunny and in the mid to upper 70s and the nights were chilly in the low to mid-40s.  I was very fortunate to meet several amazing PCT thru-hikers and experience "Trail angels" and "Trail Magic"!
