Pacific crest trail, Section a segment 1 - november 11, 2020

This was my first segment of california's section a of the pacific crest trail.  section a starts in campo, ca (on the mexican border) and traverses north for 109.5 miles to warner springs, CA.  my goal was to complete Section a in a series of 14 day hikes.  This first segment (from the Southern Terminus north to CA Hwy 94) is only about 2.4 miles (one way), but my day hikes will be "out and back" hikes, so my total hiking distance was about 4.8 miles.  The monument, at the southern terminus and the mexican wall, was pretty cool.  it was awe-inspiring to begin my adventure on such an infamous trail.
