This 5-peak challenge is in mission trails regional park in san diego county.  some people do it over a period of days or months, and some choose to do it in one day.  i chose the "one day" option.  it consists of climbing Cowles peak (1,592'), pyles peak (1,379'), kwaay paay (1,194'), North fortuna (1,291'), and south fortuna (1,094').  it is quite the challenge to complete in one day (15.24 miles, 3,671 feet total ascent, and about 6 1/2 hours), but well worth it!
