waipo'o falls loop via canyon trail and pU'u hinahina trail - December 26, 2023

This was a beautiful hike that I was fortunate to take with my kids, Brooke and Jayce, during our christmas vacation to kauai.  It was a bit sloppy, muddy on some portions of the trail, but the views were absolutely amazing.  We hiked to the top of Waipo'o falls.  you couldn't actually see the waterfall from the top of the falls, but the last photo on this page shows the falls from the road on our drive out of the canyon.  we covered a total distance of 4.16 miles in a little over 2.5 hours.  what a treat!
