THIS WAS A "COVID-19 DELAYED" HIKE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN TWO MONTHS EARLIER.  UNFORTUNATELY, BY THE END OF MAY, TEMPERATURES HAD soared and the bugs had descended.  it wasn't the most pleasant of hikes, but there were beautiful wildflowers along the way and the views of mount palomar observatory were striking.  This was a 13.7 mile hike, out and back, up to a maximum elevation of 6,140' with an elevation gain of 3,341'
