My name is Byron Bailey.  Welcome to my site!

In 2012, I retired from a 30-year career as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Public Health Service.  My family and I sold our home and most of our material possessions, bought a truck and a RV, and hit the road as a full-time RV family.  In the ensuing eight years, we traveled coast-to-coast and spent significant time in 36 states.  During that time, I was very fortunate to experience a variety of hikes to get an amazing view of our beautiful country.  In 2020, we permanently settled in southern California.
